Abstract:
James McCloud was part of Kaiser's management team, serving in various positions including field construction superintendent and outfitting superintendent variously at Kaiser Shipyards one, two, three, and four. He is a native of the Bay Area and attended Stanford University where he received his BA in engineering. In this interview, you hear a shipyard manager's perspective on wartime growth in industry and the shipyards.
