Abstract:
Celeste is the sister of Stella Faria, also born and raised in Pinole. She talks about wartime in Richmond, her work in an administrative office in the shipyards, and then her work after the war for Richmond Unified School District. Like, Stella, she has been an active member of the Portuguese community in Richmond/Pinole and reflects here on being the daughter of immigrants.
