Abstract:
A native of the Bay Area who grew up in North Oakland, Dallas Wilcox was a slinger in the Richmond shipyards when he was 17 years old. He also worked in the Moore Drydock shipyard. This interview contains rich descriptions of the Bay Area before, during and after the war and of ship yard work.
