Interviewer(s):
Rubens, Lisa
Title:
Free Speech Movement Oral History Project
Abstract:
Judith Allen was an undergraduate and sorority member of AEPi. This interview was conducted by Lisa Rubens, a junior high school friend of Judy’s, while she was visiting her sorority sister and best friend, Dutch Key, who is also part of the interview. This interview happened serendipitously, when Rubens joined the two women and incidentally described her new oral history project. It was as if these women had been waiting to talk about their experience for years. The tape recorder was turned on and stories burst out;a very passionate discussion took place about the political and intellectual awakening that the FSM engendered in these women and their social milieu.
